One day, daffodil. One day!
works in a shop, she never stops, she’s a go-gettah.

I bought a candle the other day for our living room. It is green and smells like “litsea and lemongrass” which is supposed to be uplifting. I didn’t know what litsea was, but apparently it is an evergeen or shrub, and the leaves smell like lemon.

I think it smells like a lemon meringue pie — which is just as uplifting!

I made a delicious frittata today for brunch (for just me and Jake). Sweet potato, onion, jalepeno, and gouda. We didn’t eat the whole thing, but man it was filling. Sweet and savory and spicy. Yes! I did it! Although, I realized that since I don’t have a cast iron pan, it didn’t turn out like when I made a frittata at work. Mine had a harder time getting out of the pan, and didn’t turn into a neat circle. Chef gear actually works!

We are cleaning the whole house today, and I noticed my lonely KitchenAide, which I haven’t really used since I now work at a place which sells scones, muffins, yummy breads, etc — where I can eat for free. I’m going to try and break it out tonight. I’ll have to come up with a fun idea…mmm.

In other news, the sun is SHINING into our newly clean apartment. It is easier to relax and have fun when there isn’t clutter everywhere. And, it smells nice in every room because I have this habit of lighting candles while I clean.

My friend Andrew came to visit me at work yesterday. That was a nice surprise! He lived in Brazil for about five months, and then came back two months ago. It is nice to have him back around. Anna is still gone. Not sure when or if she’s coming back to Somerville.

Here is a photo of what I made this morning:
