Oh, what added happiness, oh, what added busyness. 

The Americorps Massachusetts Promise Fellowship committee contacted me, and I’m in. I’ll be working at 826 Boston for this year, as the Volunteer and In-School Program Coordinator. 

Volunteering with kids, reading to them, writing with them, has been part of my life since…I have no idea. Girl Scouts? I was in Girl Scouts for seven years, volunteering my time frequently. Now I get to train volunteers and play with kids, showing them fun ways to write creatively and better ways to organize their essays? WHAT? I wish I could do this job forever. Maybe one day I will. 

I’ve had three days off in a row, which has given me a chance to write everything I need for my first submission at Lesley. 

On Saturday, I’m going to the Newport Folk Festival…just for the Saturday show. I have to work on Sunday, my very last day at Petsi Pies. Goodbye pie cafe, you were fun.

OH, and one more thing. I finished my back tattoo project. Currently, my filled in tattoo is peeling, and kind of gross…but at least it isn’t sore anymore!
